S.E. ANDREWS (Gibson) (12:58): I, too, rise to support this motion and just briefly make some comments. I would like to firstly say how much I deeply respect the professionalism which Her Excellency brought to the role and note how much I have learned, both in observation of how she has conducted herself and also in my interactions with her.

Minister Picton mentioned earlier how she conducts herself at investiture ceremonies, and I think that is a perfect example of how seriously she takes her role and how much she puts into the preparation of interactions with everyone in our community. She is always available for a very thoughtful discussion, because she has done an extraordinary amount of work leading up to that.

I would also like to acknowledge Rod Bunten as her husband. You can see, whenever she speaks, how proud he is of her. I would also like to recognise that he, too, is a really easy conversationalist, though you might end up talking about physics—which is, for most of us, a little bit out of our depth—and also hear of his great support for the Plymouth Argyle Football Club.

I would like to take this opportunity to also acknowledge someone who has supported Her Excellency and other governors in his role, and that is the butler, Troy Mason. He is retiring only days after Her Excellency, after 36 years of service to Government House. I have known Troy for approximately 30 years in his role because when I started in the union movement he was the union delegate representing workers at Government House, so I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Troy all the best.
